NGC869 – Double Cluster of Perseus

NGC869 and NGC884 – Double Cluster of Perseus, 2021-10-16.

The imaging session progressed and I had captured over 3 hours worth of data on 2 objects as well as taken 1 hour of data for my darks. I still felt that I wanted to test more targets, and specifically the plate solving feature in APT. As all worked like a charm I couldn’t resist capturing a few exposures for this object as well.


5x240s, ISO1600, bortle 4. Mostly clear skies. Total integration time of 20 minutes.

Skywatcher Evostar 80ED Pro+focal reducer 0,85x and Canon 60D on Skywatcher HEQ5 Pro with Skywatcher Evoguide 50ED and ZWO ASI 120 MM Mini. Image processing with DSS and PI.
