My name is Mårten Frosth and I live in the high coast area of the northern part of Sweden in a town called Örnsköldsvik.
Latitude: 63° 17′ 11.60″ N
Longitude: 18° 31′ 58.53″ E
Sweden is located in the northern hemisphere and that means that it is north of the equator. Since I live about 10 kilometers outside of Örnsköldsvik the light pollution is not that bad. Haffsta is bortle class 4.
I have been interested in astronomy and everything related to space since I was young and took up photography about 15 years ago. The thought of combining the two interests have been in the back of my mind for several years and I’m now in a position to be able to fully embrace the hobby.
My profession is Chef Information Security Officer for a Swedish County Council and I’m also very passionate about making our community a safe place.
I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.
