The Horsehead Nebula (also known as Barnard 33) is a dark nebula in the constellation Orion. The nebula is located about 1 375 light years from earth. Visible in the image is also NGC 2023 and NGC 2024 (Flame Nebula) and the bright blue supergiant Alnitak. More clouds, more snow, and more shovelling so I must apologize in advance for showing more timelapses of shovelling in my videos. I have added data to the Horsehead Nebula, and I wanted to revisit this object this season. I managed to double the amount of data and got a chance to use some new processing tools and skills this time. Data for this image: 60x300s S-II, 60x300s Ha, 60x300s O-III. Total number of exposures 180 with a total integration time of 15 hours. Processing: PixInsight with SHO palette with SHO stars. Data was collected in February of 2022, December of 2023, Januari of 2024, and in February of 2024.
