Askar SQA106

The Askar SQA106 is a 106mm f/4.8 quintuplet petzval astrograph with two SD glass elements, a 55mm image circle, and a flat field that requires no additional flattener. In this video, I break down the optical design, walk through the ZYGO interferometer report and MTF charts, examine the mechanical build quality, and explain why this telescope is replacing my trusty Sky-Watcher Evostar 80ED Pro in the home observatory at 63° north.
